Fauna of Lake Shaitan

 Lake Shaitan is located on the territory of Bushkovski Forest Reserve. There are 153 animal species there. Among them, there are wild boar(hog), elk, bear, marten, beaver, squirrel, wood grouse, grouse, hazel grouse, etc.

On the banks of Lake Shaytan, there are nests of a bittern which is rare for the Kirov region. The bird is included in the Red Book of the Kirov region.

There are also two species of rare snails and one species of butterflies which can be found in the Red Book of the Russian Federation:
